About

Hello. My first name does begin with a ‘K’ but in high school a friend always would say to me “‘kay K?” so the nickname stuck. K Quinn.

I’m a wife, mother, foster mom (babies), former world traveler, church pianist, and little sister.

What makes this blog different from all the other ones?

This one is about me…sort of.

I’m not a big believer in baring all on the internet but would like to give you a little insight into the daily things I may struggle with as pertaining to homemaking and housekeeping a blog would be nice dontcha think?

What sort of homemaking things can one expect?

Well I don’t talk much about recipes on my sites so when I do have a good one to share with you should find it here.

Why on earth do you have so many sites and when do you find time to do them?

I originally started with one site (Struggling Church Musician) that I put up for a blessing to those who are where I once was (and on a bad day still am). That site is purely a ministry and I try and devote about an hour a week to updating it.

Homemaking Organized evolved from another site that I started when we started fostering babies.  I’ve been joked about for years for being waaaay too domestic for my age but as I get older there are no jokes anymore and people call for advice and tips. So why not put it online.

I still think to this day that I started really getting into homemaking by reading Janette Oke’s books which my mother actually bought for my sister not for me, when we were young. My sister didn’t like them because she has not the homemaking bug.  I loved them and from that also came an interest in Vintage Homemaking.

Vintage Homemaking I find is a very difficult topic to have a site about it.  It is very deep and involved. I have a ton of information on it but I really don’t have a lot of time to read and that’s what you have to do with such a topic so it takes a while before I have something new to post.

Beauty for Mommy grew of out my love for hair. I have very thin hair but a lot of it. About 11 years ago I went on a quest to finally grow it past my shoulders and hit almost waist length. I learned a lot about hair then. My daughter has gorgeous hip length hair. I also like to look good naturally. Part of the reason is the being allergic to soy I tend not to look so good after breaking out from makeup that has a soy additive in it (Vitamin E, lecithin).  So I don’t wear makeup too often except for special occasions and I try to keep fit.

Biz Tips for Mom is just that. Biz tips for mommy. Moms whether stay at home or work outside the home have very little time so tips on getting it done many times with very little money are what you will find there.

And finally Infant Baby Needs evolved from Homemaking Organized. Babies are so precious and have all these little things you focus on when they are small. That site is for that. When babies are around who cares about homemaking?

Whew! And when do I find time? I actually have a weekly schedule for all the sites.  They each get their alloted time depending upon how the household is going. If you can type fast then you can get a lot done ;) My family is good about giving me computer time.

So that’s the why and how.
