It Makes the Whole Day Go Better : Early to Rise Challenge

This entry is part 2 of 21 in the seriesEarly to Rise Challenge

Early to Rise Challenge

Woo hoo! I did it! Sort of. Today is the first day of the Early to Rise Challenge. Dealing with late evenings over here my target time is 7am. It had actually been a challenge for me to get up at 8am but I worked through that since the beginning of our school year and it’s become a habit.

I’m working through this slowly. I went to bed a half hour earlier last night. And I got up a half hour earlier. I’ll keep adjusting until I hit my target hour.

As I read through Andy’s book Early To Rise I realize he’s right. It’s all about how you look at it. You need to find motivation for getting up, earlier, in the morning.

My daughter found her motivation. She’s a late night owl too. One of the reasons I rise so late is I wait until she’s asleep. But then out of the blue a few months ago she decided she wanted to get up at 8am. She was tired of starting school so late. So she asked daddy for an alarm clock and the rest is history. As I type this her alarm clock has just gone off so she’ll be up and feeding her pet soon.

Have a great day!
