4 Weeks to a More Organized Home {simplified} Day 15 -

Moneysavingmom 4 weeks to an organized home

I admit to missing Day 15  of 4 Weeks to a More Organized Home {simplified}. In addition to being under the weather I was painstakingly trying to update my main site Homemaking Organized. I like to leave these seat of the pants activities for the end of the year for some reason.

But! It’s only Saturday and yesterday’s mission was not too hard. I will say that my site updates might fall a bit in the category but here you go.

Day 15 Assignments:

  • Get dressed in something that makes you feel great {there’s something about dressing in clothes that make you feel great that just gives you more energy and zest for life! Get your free copy of SarahMae’s ebook, Frumps to Pumps, if you need more motivation in this.}
  • Sit down with a cup of coffee or tea, refer to your list of weekly goals, and make a list of no more than 5-7 specific things you want to accomplish today.
  • Wipe down your computer and clean out your email inbox. Organize files and photos on your computer, if you have time.
  • Set the timer for at least 15 minutes and do something you really enjoy and that relaxes and rejuvenates you. If you need ideas, here are a few: read, write, call a friend, pray, exercise, bake, play with your children, laugh with your husband, stop by the bookstore and browse the book selection, work in the garden, or take a nap! Take some time to just stop and enjoy life today!
My updates:
Now I will tell you that I take much more than 15 minutes to myself. I read a bit and workout every evening except weekends. Right now I’m reading Sometimes a Light Surprises
. And Sweet Peanut and I hung out together in our sniveling states.
  • I wore my earrings again (and today too). Accomplished some things on my goals list …
  • Got the site updated (And if by chance you land upon an error or something could you send me nice note about it?)
  • Added some free binder covers to the planners site. Which I actually need to update again because binder covers do need binder backs and I forgot that.
In addition to all this my computer is moving very slow. I need a new one badly but because we are a cash paying family I’m slowly earning the money.
You can find the original Day 15 post here and the update here.

  1. Last month my computer was moving very slowly too. I used online tips to clean it up and defrag it and they’ve helped a lot! It could still die any day but for now…its way faster.
    This was one trick I used:

  2. You are ahead of me. I haven’t posted a day 15 update yet! Of course, I clean my e-mail box out pretty much daily or it would get overwhelming. I am so glad to know that I’m not the only one out there taking more than 15 minutes to myself :) I hope you are feeling better!
