How are you feeling?
Good health.
It’s one of those things you don’t realize how precious it is until it is gone.
No, no, no I am in good health. Just the usual maladies that plague women but I’ve been thinking about how we can take good health for granted.
I’m not in shape to run marathons or anything but when I look around me I’m truly blessed with health.
When our health is bad we seek all avenues to make it better. For some it is the catalyst that calls them to Christ.
Having dismissed Him in all other pursuits good health is demanded and promises uttered if only…please heal me.
Lovingly enough even when the promises are not kept many times good health is granted just because of His extreme love for us.
Good health is not always granted, and we know not the reasons why, but it is His wish for us to be in good health.
Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

Miracles Today
Our little Peanut came up to us the other day and said “I want a miracle!”
You see she has been learning the story of Moses in school and all the miracles God put before him.
She learned about the burning bush. The parting of the Red Sea. Manna etc. So she wanted a miracle too.
Her father and I look at her and exclaimed at the same time, “YOU are a miracle!”
Born at 2+ lbs two months premature. Spending two months in the hospital. Told she would properly not bond with us due to the two months alone in the hospital. Two years waiting for things to clear up so that the adoption could become final. Surgery at 6 months.
Here we are several years later. Healthy as any young child. Smart as a whip. Bonded from day one so it was never and issue . Legally a family and waiting for more.
We said sweetie your whole life is a miracle and our being here together is a miracle. God answered all our prayers concerning you and it gives us shivers to see how it all came together.
We got our miracle!
She looked at us with those extremely sweet brown eyes and we all smiled and hugged.
Thoughts on God’s Creations and Doing What We Are Called To Do
As I clean up around my garden muttering my irritations with the various bugs that come from miles around to eat that which I have labored over I was reminded via this post, that God has a reason for each of His creatures.
Unlike we humans they are doing what God called them to do .
But just what is that? Well this post will remind us why slugs are here. And maybe instead of pouring piles of salt over them we can gently guide them (with copper collars) to other areas of our garden that are in need a bit of tidying.
I am also reminded that as Christians we don’t always do what God calls us to do and as a result we could be missing a big blessing He has for us.
It was very hard for us to sign up as foster parents so soon after our stillbirth. Not for the reasons one might think, that of too many children being thrust upon us at once. No it was just hard to do anything. Anything at all. But we knew what God had called us to do so we didn’t ask questions. We persevered and went through the process, cared for many sweet innocent babies and 6 years later, as I caress the sweet face of God’s great blessing I am reminded what we could have missed had we not done what God called us to do.
Trying to do what God has called me to do as we enter this season of Thankfulness
Be Ye Thankful…
First thank you everyone that has entered the Yoplait Smoothie and KitchenAid Blender giveaway.
Pssst! It ends tomorrow at midnight (my time).
Now as we all prepare tirelessly for Thanksgiving (my house) here is a new lovely printable more about the Thankful part than about the eating part.
Silverbox Creative Studios, customizing design, and creative beautiful photos for customers and such, has uploaded a lovely printable to remind us to be thankful this holiday season. Print them off. Add your personal touch and use them to decorate your holiday dinner table.
These are very pretty. I like the craft paper. Have to see if I have some around. I would like to make the ring and use it as a centerpiece.
So lovely…

Yoplait Frozen Smoothie and Blender Giveaway
This Giveaway Has Now Ended. Check back 11/20/2010 for the Winner
The winner for the Yoplait Smoothie and KitchenAid Blender Give away is Tess. Congratulations!
Thank you Everyone for Entering!
Yum! Who doesn’t love smoothies? For breakfast OR dessert! They are also a fabulous way to get a good breakfast and maintain your weight or weightloss goals or at least just have a yummy breakfast on the run.
And who doesn’t love Yoplait yogurt? Okay I’m just speaking personally here but it is one of my favorite brands. Could be because it tastes more like dessert!
Well Yoplait, KitchenAid, and MyBlog Spark wants to get more of you thinking about smoothies as a viable breakfast that is quick and easy and nutrititous so they sent me a generous package to review the new Yoplait Smoothies. They wanted to make sure I had an easy time blending them. And probably having heard I dropped my blender earlier this year they sent a snazzy new black KitchenAid blender which goes nicely with my 20 year old KitchenAid mixer.
Okay not having a tv I did not know they (the smoothies) were on the Biggest Loser BUT having recharged my own workouts I find using a frozen smoothie to recharge after a hard workout a fabulous idea.
With four scrumptious flavors hopefully you can find one (my store only had two). I was hoping to try the Blueberry Pomegranate flavor buy my local grocery store didn’t have that so I opted for the triple blueberry instead.
We got it home (my Peanut and I) washed up the new Kitchenaid Blender that some lucky winner will also receive, added the milk amount and smoothie pack and blended to go.
The Yoplait smoothies were very simple to make. The blender with the new Smoothie button blended all in a flash.
Peanut was anxious to try and got the first cup which she deemed a success!
It says that each serving (of the Triple Berry flavor) has 5 grams of protein which is a nice energy punch after a hard workout. Each serving also only has 110 calories if you’re good and use the recommended low fat milk unlike us who used full fat (hey she’s still growing).
