Thanks for such interesting reading on your Blog Kemi!
As usual you hit the nail on the head.
When we first married 22 years ago, same story...too busy to clear up the dishes. Then when the children came along, I felt I had to try and develop some sort of a routine. I hated getting up to the sight of an untidy kitchen.
Our eldest daughter Miriam is 19, and she helps a lot with the chores. About 12 years ago, we invested in a dishwasher which also halved our water bill and proved to be more economical . A huge load gets washed thoroughly each day, and I love waking up to a clean kitchen.

Folding laundry? Well with a family of four children, now that's a different story...!!!!

This is a bit extreme I guess but, our house burned down last year, and we lost everything that mattered to us. We didn't have any pictures of our things, no receipts, no record of what we had. The insurance company made it very difficult for us to get our things replaced.

We wanted to be sure that our things were safe if something like that ever happened again and I recently found a web site that helps keep track of that kind of stuff.

I wanted to share it with other families in case this happened to them. It's called e-pact, http://www.e-pact.net and we use it to keep track of all our stuff now. Just hope this is a helpful tip.
